This collection consists of Michigan authors' autographs, covering the years 1934-1956. William Webb, a member of the staff of the Flint Public Library, attempted to collect the autographs of all authors who wrote novels relating to Michigan. In his correspondence with these authors, Webb also asked them where in Michigan they envisioned the plots of their books taking place. The responses to this question are on cards and letters. A list of the authors can be found in Appendix 1. The collection is arranged alphabetically by name.
